Georg is a digital finance leader with 14 years of international experience across Europe and Southeast Asia. He has built and led finance and controlling functions for high-growth companies in e-commerce, marketplace, and SaaS — always at the intersection of financial excellence and technology-enabled workflows.

 

His career began in Berlin’s startup ecosystem in 2010, when he joined the performance controlling team of Zalando during its hyper-growth phase. There he developed a deep understanding of data-driven steering, KPI architecture, and scalable reporting structures.

 

Equipped with this foundation, Georg spent the following years in Asia, where he set up and managed finance and controlling organizations for leading digital businesses such as Lazada, Ensogo, and Central Group. He built and automated scalable finance workflows, managed digital transformation and PMI projects, and prepared reporting and planning deliverables that guided key board decisions.

 

Since 2020, Georg has been working independently as a Fractional CFO, Interim Manager, and project-based consultant. He supports digital companies in building finance organizations that deliver transparency, reactivity, and performance.

 

Today, he partners with founders, CFOs, and investors to professionalize finance operations, strengthen decision-making, and enable sustainable growth.
